A Fact about Opinions

Opinions can change a person's mind, whether easily or over a long period of time. Some people don't realize that their opinions can really affect someone's feelings. Of course, there are always those people who don't care whether or not you want to listen to them or not, thus resulting in them giving you their opinion on a matter. Then you have the people who believe that their opinion is so right that it should be considered a fact.

Even small things such as the type of food someone eats or how they eat it can affect someone, especially if they constantly hear it. For example, I was making a hamburger and was putting on my normal portion of pepper, when three people consecutively commented on how gross and nasty that was. That is definitely not something that makes someone feel better about what they do. Even if all they thought they were doing was making a comment, they still gave unwanted opinions. They're aren't the ones eating the burger, I am. Their negative thoughts caused feelings of discontent about how I eat my burger.

Sure, the burger example may be silly, but it can go on the be an even greater series of events. Think before you speak. Then think again just to make sure. Don't give an opinion that someone else doesn't really need or hasn't asked for.

I Hate Hypocrisy

The title speaks for itself. I'm sick and tired of it. People constantly show this characteristic daily and become very irate when you tell them about it, too. What's even worse is that some people don't even realize they are doing it, and those that do don't really seem to care. Apparently, they believe that the actions are wrong if others do them, but can find any and every exception when they themselves do them. Sure, it's not fair, but that doesn't mean people have to do it all the time. I know life's not fair, but why isn't it ever fair in my favor? Who knows. All I know is that I do what I can to make sure my actions don't contradict what I say or believe. If I do, I'm sorry.
